- The International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG) is an international scientific multidisciplinary society with about 700 – 800 members in over 65 countries.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is the largest university in Norway with about 40 000 students. It has main campuses in the cities of Trondheim, Gjøvik and Ålesund. The Trondheim campus is the largest with 33 000 students and 7200 employees.
The main profile of NTNU is science and technology but has a great width in teaching and research activities in humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines and artistic activities.
