Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) (https://www.sysu.edu.cn/sysuen/index.htm) is one of the top comprehensive universities in China. It has five campuses and ten affiliated hospitals in Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen. SYSU serves 68,781 students, including 33,686 undergraduates, 24,295 master’s students, and 10,800 doctoral students. Zhuhai, located on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary by the South China Sea, is one of the first Special Economic Zones in China. The Zhuhai campus of SYSU is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on the fourth.
